Gadzooks, it's been over three weeks

I just glanced at the blog and realized how long it had been since I had posted. We've slid into a really comfortable routine lately and I obviously hadn't allocated a slot for blogging. There have been two primary changes. We have been garage saling on Saturday mornings and we have moved our shopping from weekends to weekdays. We used to make our run to Walmart & the market on weekends but we split them up onto weekday mornings before work. Monday mornings we make our Walmart run. It is much less hectic and crowded and seems to take less time. Thursday mornings we go to Alternative Foods for herbs, supplements and our organic milk and then spin by United Market Street for produce, candles and organic meat. On the way we drop by the Thrify Nickle office to pickup a list of the weekend's upcoming garage sales. Moving the shopping to weekdays has allowed my weekends to become both more productive and more restful. There is more time for projects and still plenty of time to rest. recuperate and enjoy.
This is made possible by my noon to 9 work schedule. My mornings are my own when I am fresh. I don't know that I would have the energy to make these run's at the end of the workday, even if the healthfood store was open. Another thing I like about the schedule is that it allows me to awaken at my own time and pace. We had an early appointment a while back and had to set an alarm. When it went off it jerked me out of a really deep sleep. I realized it had been ages since I fought that profound grogginess that resulted from being extracted from a deep delta state. Most mornings I have the luxury of coming to consciousness gently and in stages and I think this is stress reducing.
