Beautiful Weather
One of the things I love about Lubbock weather is the mildness of the winters. We get winters and, at an altitude of over 3000 feet we occasionally get snow, but the average high in January is 52 which means for every day when the high is in the thirties we are going to have a day when it is in the sixties or seventies so the cold is not so unrelenting as it is further north. The past few days have been of this warmer sort, getting to 77 yesterday.
When I lived in Maine I noticed that I started tensing up for winter about November and didn't let up until March. Here there is a breath of spring like weather every couple of weeks so we never really get locked into the winter doldrums.
