This has been a fairly normal week. Tuesday I dropped by the union hall to teach others how to post to the Union website I had built and Tuesday evening was the Democratic Party Executive Committee meeting followed by a Public Relations committee meeting which I chair. We had a bit of an issue because someone had set up a forum which had erupted as forums frequently did. The problem was that this one had been set up under the party banner, so that had to be fixed and was.
Wednesday night I facilitated the Explorations class at the Unity church. We started this in April and it had been fun and interesting. It is a survey of spiritual and metaphysical topics as they apply to the lives we wish to live, with a new topic each month. March was energy work. April was health and healing. In May we are covering relationships and relating to others and we decided that June will be Astrology.
The relationship discussion has been interesting. Last week we covered freedom in relating and balancing freedom with the responsibilities and accomodations of relationship. We particularly focused on the importance of the difference in perspective between focusing of freedom to do or be something and the freedom from something or someone. The Unity church has been good for me at this juncture. I have been active in the church service and some social activities and have been singing. I had not sung publicly since high school and it has been enjoyable and rewarding. I wonder if I might enjoy voice lessons, just for the fun of it.
Anyway, that is being my week, along with watering the trees and flowers and mowing the yard. I have not yet decided how I am going to spend the extra day I get this weekend. My sights are set on a 5 day weekend I am taking June 6-10. Kirk and I are going on a camping and sightseeing journey through the hill country with our friend Lonie.
